I was considering getting an iPad but I realised that it doesn’t have USB ports and neither does it have card readers!!! How am I meant to connect my BlackBerry to it or my camera? Is it worth getting? Advice Please!!!!!!

Well it depends on what you want to use it for, is that the only thing you want to use it for
The ipad is basically a bigger version of the iphone. It isnt meant to be a computer. So no you cant hook up a camera or other devices to it.
But at the same time they are awesome. I just got one right before Christmas and love it. I would definately say it would be worth getting.

depend on what you wanna do with it.
if it’s for connecting various gadgets, it’s better if you get a windows notebook.
remember, iPad is not a standalone system.
it needs to be connected to other system (windows or mac) to add stuff or updates etc.

You can connect any camera,USB keyboard,headset and Memory card or USB hub to iPad through Camera Connection Kit that has two dongles, one for camera and the other one is for SD card.
You can import photos that includes Raw photos and video.
I don’t know about BB but I connect my iPhone and camera quite often.
Few people will say you need to buy Camera kit. But it’s available for only $ 29 what’s the big deal in it?
Although you didn’t ask but I am just giving you information that HULU,NETFLIX AND all other popular website with video content work flawlessly on iPad so don’t believe people who say it cant play online video since it doesn’t support Flash.
Flash is past all the websites have recoded their content into HTML 5 which is supported by iPad.
An iPad is nothing but a big iPod. I would recommend a tablet or slate PC. They are essentially a laptop without a keyboard. (or the keyboard folds down on top of the keyboard You can find them with touch-sensitive displays and with screens that only react to a stylus.(which can be handy) These PCs do not have to have the restrictions of the iOS and the lack of functionality the iPad provides.
I believe you should get an iPad. I’m ON MINE RIGHT NOW!! I have never had any problems with it, and it is just overall amazing. If your getting another laptop for christmas, I definatley recommend an iPad. You will love the interface, and an update is coming out for that will be HUGE. (multitasking, game center, ect…). An iPad functions as a laptop anyways. So in the end, you should definatley get an iPad and I speak from experience
