What happens to existing apps after updating to a newer version of an iOS?

Question by : What happens to existing apps after updating to a newer version of an iOS?
Let’s say I’m going to update my iOS 4.3.3 to 4.3.5. What happens to my installed apps?Overwritten perhaps? I’m actually looking forward to iOS 5 and was wondering if all my existing apps will be removed after the update.

Any helps is appreciated.

Question by dan731028: what version of IOS do I need to run on a Cisco 3550 and 3560 to support IPv6?
I know the 3550 and 3560 will support IPv6, but none of the devices I have can. On the 3550 is the earliest IOS release 12.2(44)SE? Can this also be used on the 3560? Thanks for any help.
